Nathan Gallant
Nathan H. Gallant, 37, of Chicago, died 
				Thursday, October 30, 2014 in Wausau at the home of his father, 
				after a long battle with colon cancer. 
				
				He was born December 16, 1976 in Northampton, Massachusetts, the 
				son of Thomas and Christiana Gallant. Nate attended schools in 
				Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Marshfield, graduating from 
				Marshfield Senior High in 1995. He then studied at the
				University of Wisconsin, Madison, including a year in 
				London, where he interned at Sky Productions. 
				
				After graduation in 1999, Nate worked at Wisconsin Public 
				Television for a year, following which he moved to Portland, 
				Oregon to work in television news for several years. 
				Subsequently, he worked in television production in Boston, New 
				York, San Francisco, and Milwaukee before moving to Chicago, 
				where he was employed as the Graphics Supervisor for the Big Ten 
				Network until his death. 
				
				Nathan married Briana Fahey of Milwaukee and Marshfield in 2011. 
				He is survived by his wife, her parents, Steve and Brenda Fahey, 
				Marshfield; his father, Thomas (Suzanne), Wausau; his mother 
				Christiana Gallant, Cincinnati, OH; his brother, Andrew 
				(Sommer), Chicago, IL; his sister, Lara (Ted) Magdzinski, 
				Cincinnati, OH; nephew Miles Magdzinski; grandmother, Roberta 
				Holzer, Gallipolis, OH. Also surviving Nathan are his step 
				brother and step sister, Zachary Tuszka, Madison, and Cassandra 
				(Caleb) Feidt, Appleton; brothers-in-law Benjamin Fahey, 
				Madison, and Zachary (Jenna) Fahey, Evanston, IL; sister-in-law 
				Megan (Tom) Hentz, Denver, CO; aunts and uncles, Mary (William) 
				Bley, Pearland, TX, Charles (Jean) Holzer, Galveston, TX, John 
				(Ann) Holzer, Richmond, IN, Karen (Dennis) O'Neil, Columbus, OH, 
				Amy (Dudley) Irving, Columbus, OH, Elizabeth (David) Tanger, 
				Wausau, and Thomas (Linda) Hirsch, Wausau, along with many 
				cousins. He was well loved by his family and many friends, 
				several of whom were able to visit him in hospital and in 
				hospice in the days preceeding his death. 
				
				He was preceeded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles 
				Holzer II, and his paternal grandparents, Francis and A. Marita 
				Gallant. 
				
				In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in 
				Nathan's name to an animal shelter of your choice. At Nathan's 
				request, no formal services will be held at this time, although 
				a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
